Meet My New Love — The Quintana Roo PRsix Disc

I am a Quintana Roo ambassador and sponsored by their Norwegian retailer JBS Sport. For the Norwegians looking for a new triathlon bike and find QR interesting send a message to Jonas (at) jbssport.no or send JBS Sport a message on Facebook. Extra good prices will be given to those ordering their 2019 bike now.

The Quintana Roo PRSix Disc – the flagship bike of a bike manufacturer that only makes triathlon bikes. All the components are carefully chosen by myself with nothing else than top performance in mind. She is not 100 % done yet, with too long aero bar extensions, missing bar tape and a bit messy front cable wise. Don’t be worried; this will all be sorted out after the bike fit.

The specifications are the following:

She is simply stunning.

The QR Q-box is the same as on my QR PRthree and has room for spare parts. Some people think I should change my bottle holder for a carbon one, but this is a King Cage Titan bottle holder and really good. What are your thoughts?

ENVE 7.8 SES Disc in front. 71mm height.

The rear wheel is 78mm.

Chris King hubs, the best there is :)

A smooth Sram Red Etap drivetrain.

Sram eTap has one advantage over Shimano Dura Ace Di2. It is wireless.

The Praxis Zayante Carbon crank with the cold forged rings are among the stiffest cranks you can get.

This seat I have used for 5 year, and it is still going strong. Some people said I should change it for the lighter version with carbon rails, but I play it safe with the Ti rails.

The most spectacular thing about my bike is the TriFold aerobars from Morf-Tech.

Do you see this? Not me either. It is the brake bar that is non existent in aero position. Cant get more aero than that.

This is in brake position. The Sram wireless box is going to be hidden.

The Evolution of Allan Hovda's Superbike

Allan Hovda is a 3-time Norseman champion but he is not content to sit on his laurels. He has worked feverishly over the winter on his new QR PRsix Disc to make it as wind slippery as possible, and of course he is looking to make himself the smallest target for the wind.
